• What contaminants does it remove?

  The short answer: almost everything you don't want. The membrane inside this filter has pores so small — 0.0001 microns — that most contaminants physically can't get through. • Does it strip out healthy minerals from the water?

• Will it fit on my benchtop?

• Can I customise the temperature and amount?

  Yes — six temperature presets from 25°C to 95°C, and three volume settings: 150ml, 300ml, or 1 litre. Select what you want, press pour, and walk away. It stops automatically — no overflow, no watching the glass. For room temperature water, skip the temp setting. Cold drinking water, warm for baby formula, near-boiling for coffee or tea. • Can I remove the water jug?

  Yes — the pure water jug lifts right out. Fill it up, then store it in the fridge or serve it at the table like a pitcher. You don't have to use the dispenser every time.

• How fast does it dispense water?

  Up to 12 litres per hour. That's more than enough for drinking, cooking, coffee, and refilling water bottles throughout the day — even for a busy household. It's compact, but it keeps up.

• How much water does it waste?

  Reverse osmosis works by pushing water through a very fine membrane. The pure water passes through; the contaminants stay behind in the source tank. This system runs at a 3:1 ratio — for every 3 litres of clean water, about 1 litre of concentrate builds up. That's more efficient than many RO systems, which run at 2:1 or even 1:1. But nothing goes down the drain. You just keep refilling and filtering. Over time, contaminants concentrate at the bottom. When it's time to empty, the system prompts you — tip out the dregs, refill with fresh water, and keep going. No plumbing. No wasted water running down the sink.

• How much electricity does it use?

  About the same as a kettle — 2150W when heating water. When you're dispensing cold or room temperature water, it uses far less. In standby, barely anything. If you're replacing a kettle for your tea and coffee, you're not adding to your electricity bill — you're just moving it from one appliance to another.

• How long does the filter cartridge last?

  Up to 12 months — depending on how much you use it. The cartridge is rated for 1,200 litres. For a two-person household drinking around 2 litres each per day, that's roughly a year. Bigger household or heavier use? You'll replace it sooner. The system tracks usage and tells you when it's time. No guessing. Replacement is simple — swap the cartridge, no tools needed.

• How does it compare to a jug filter?

  Different technology, different results. Jug filters use activated carbon. They're good for improving taste — reducing chlorine and some sediment. But they're limited by what carbon can catch.
