When should I replace it?

Every 2 months OR 220 litres, whichever comes first. Don't wait for a taste change — an exhausted carbon cartridge still flows but stops filtering, and there's bacterial-growth risk past the rated life.

What do I do with the old cartridge?

Separate the carbon block from the plastic housing. The carbon block goes to organic / green waste (or crush it into soil — it aerates and retains water beautifully). The plastic housing goes to recycling. Second life: dry the carbon, sock it, drop it in a fridge or drawer as a natural odour absorber.

Will this fit my filter?
